SPOTLIGHT INDY: Beads for Needs

Beads for Needs owner, Jenny Page, is bringing Indy beautiful and fun jeweled items while helping out great causes.

Jenny makes gorgeous custom designed jewelry and swarvoski encrusted clothing for all occasions…but especially weddings. From her wedding morning T’s and tanks with customized sayings, to her beaded jewels, to her wall hanging signs with a couples name and wedding date on them, Jenny’s creations are perfect for wedding day apparel or wedding gifts.

The coolest part about Beads for Needs is that it helps Jenny give back. Jenny takes proceeds from her jewelry sales to make more jewelery that she then donates to nearly 50 different local charities. These donations are then auctioned off making her jeweled donation even more sizable.

Imagine sitting at the salon on your wedding morning sipping on a mimosa while wearing a Beads for Needs jeweled “Bride” tank. Isn’t it an amazing idea that while you’re enjoying yourself and looking cute, you’re also helping local charities?

We think so too.

Thinking of adding some glitz to your wedding? Jenny was kind enough to answer a few questions on how to give your big day some big shine.

  • What are some unique ways to incorporate Beads for Needs into a wedding?

We love to dress the bride with items she can wear well before the wedding with sayings such as, “I’m engaged”, “I do!”, “Bride”, “Soon to be Mrs. ___”. These help her show off her status proudly and in a classy way. We also make several versions of shirts for the Bridal party itself  such as, “Maid of Honor”, “Bridesmaid”, “Flower Girl”, “Mother of the Bride”, etc. Lastly, we make honeymoon apparel with cute sayings like, “Just Married”, “Mrs. ___”, etc.

  • What are some great bridal gifts you can get at Beads for Needs?

Shirts for the bride and the bridal party make great gifts. We also design wall hangings with crystals complete with the couples new name and their wedding date. These are really fun and unique wedding gifts.

  • What are some hot bead trends for 2011?

Anything Swarvoski and sparkly!
