When searching for the perfect look for that special event, where do we look for inspiration?  Trends are strongly influenced by icons and stars who walk the red carpet.  Most of these looks are influenced by the runway every season and are transformed to a more realistic and affordable everyday look.

The style of your hair can be dictated by many factors: length, texture, thickness, and weather just to name a few.  Most important is choosing what is most suitable for you and your event.  Your hair can be your most versatile and valued accessory.

In the past couple of years we have seen trends leaning toward downward hairstyles. Though, the new year seems to be shifting the trend! From the red carpet to leading brides and everyday brides, we have seen a strong upward swing to the more classic up do such as Chelsea Clinton’s french twist, Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Golden Globe big bun, and Mercedes Benz spring 2011 fashion week advertising pretty ponies & high buns. We are in for a fun year of classic styles and love!

However, down do’s are not forgotten. Many have graced the red carpets but in a different fashion this year.  More soft and classic style waves of the forties.

We always look to the past for our style but rewrite it for our times.  Classic is always beautiful and can never be wrong or go out of style.
